NFL scouts with their eyes on quarterbacks like Will Leavis, Tyler Van Dyck and Anthony Richardson for 2023 have been disappointed this year.

It’s never too early for NFL teams to start dreaming about the quarterbacks they can pick up in the next draft.

And there is no shortage of franchises desperately searching for a savior.

There were a few quarterbacks who looked like they might fill that role for teams like the Seahawks and Falcons but these passers-by ruined their inventory instead.

In Week 9, Tennessee gave every NFL team that was considering drafting Will Leavis a great reason to look elsewhere.

The volunteers made Levis look like someone who had never played quarterback before. He completed 59 percent of his passes per 98 yards. His three interceptions were devastating to a Kentucky offense that scored just six points.

Tennessee looks like a national championship contender, so there’s no shame in losing to them. However, losing to them like that is a clear sign against Levis.

There was a lot of talk about Levis being the first quarterback off the board in the draft. QB1 did not appear to conflict with the volunteers’ defense.

Model size, big arm and hope of turning him into the next Josh Allen will likely make sure of his pick in the first round. However, the idea that anyone would tune in to CJ Stroud or Bryce Young sounds ridiculous. It may be wise to continue studying for another year in college.
