Tennessee brings Kentucky back to ban: Best memes and tweets

The Tennessee Volunteers weren’t caught eyeing Kentucky, sending feral cats back into the Prohibition era.

Tennessee State looks like a team on a mission right now, and Kentucky State certainly won’t be the one to stop them on Saturday.

The Volunteers tore the wildcats to shreds in a 44-6 victory that sets them up for an epic showdown with Georgia.

Hendon Hooker continued his Heisman Trophy campaign with three landings in the air and one on the ground. Galen led the life of a monster picnic with five grabs for 138 yards and two touchdowns. He confined Tennessee’s defense Will Levis to less than 100 yards and intercepted him three times.

It was a total performance against the country’s 19th team and had the college football Twitter drooling for more.

Kentucky was reeling from the Mississippi turmoil so they hoped to make it a game. They are only 7-6 behind after one quarter. However, when things went off track, there was no turning back.

Twitter has been merciless in its trolling of Levis and Kentucky as a whole while the Wildcats are melting on message boards.

Tennessee added another ranked win to its record. They got another Heisman level performance from the quarterback. Their defense made another statement. It was definitely a good night for Knoxville.

Attention will certainly turn to the College Football Rankings coming out Tuesday night and whether the Volunteers deserve to be No. 1. Either way, they’ll have a chance to settle that debate on Saturday when they face Georgia in an actual competition for first place.

The way Tennessee is playing at the moment, it would be hard to bet on them.
