The Seattle Seahawks continue to show they are real, as they defeated the New York Giants 6-1 27-13.
From the last week eight match list, only one team was among the teams with the winning records. If anyone told you before the season it was between the Seattle Seahawks and the New York Giants, you’d question them. However, both teams played some of the best football during the first seven weeks of the season and looked to continue their positive momentum with wins.
On Sunday, the Seahawks took a 27-13 victory over the Giants to improve their record to 5-3. Not only that, but they completely outperform the San Francisco 49ers for the top spot in the NFC West.

The match was very competitive between the two teams, but when it came to mistakes, the Giants made the most of it.
The Giants had two turns in the game, coming within sight of wide receiver Richie James in two rounds. Perhaps what made it worse for New York was that it helped Seattle score points. James’ first fumble resulted in a 35-yard field goal by Jason Myers in the second quarter. A second confusion in the fourth quarter allowed the Seahawks to extend their lead from 20-13 to 27-13, as freshman running back Kenneth Walker III scored a quick 16-yard touchdown.
Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith had another strong game, completing 23 of 34 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns. The first landing lane arrived in a three-yard landing reception by DK Metcalf in the second quarter. Smith’s second pass on the fourth pass got a wide open pass to Tyler Lockett, who substituted himself after dropping a touchdown pass earlier in the game.
The Giants offense can’t get you anything in the game, capturing just 225 yards of total attack. Quarterback Daniel Jones only threw for 176 yards while completing 17 of 31 pass attempts. Saquon Barkley ran back pick up 53 yards and landed on 20 buggies. It will be interesting to see if the Giants’ front office takes a step toward a wide receiver, a position of weakness, in the NFL’s Tuesday, November 1 deadline.
Seattle will be looking to build on its No. 1 lead next week when it faces rival Arizona Cardinals. In the meantime, New York is going to bid farewell next week.
