Justin Verlander comments on the bus accident with fans of Velez, the famous middle finger

Houston Astros player Justin Verlander turned on Phillies fans upon his arrival in Philadelphia, and talked about it.

Houston Astros player Justin Verlander gave the Philadelphia Phillies fans the warmest (middle finger) welcome they could when they arrived in Philadelphia on Monday.

The footage appears to show Verlander pleasingly interacting with a fan, and he confirmed on Twitter that this is exactly what he was doing.

He also went on to joke with fans, giving her an autograph and taking a picture. The two of them showed no signs of difficult feelings, but rather showed real pleasure all around.

The World Championships, of course, brings fun competitive vibes (and maybe some not-so-fun stuff). With the series 1-1 tied to entering Game 3 and Verlander being a major reason for the Astros’ Game 1 loss, it would be understandable, but not justified, if he was truly underwhelmed and taken on by Phillies fans.

Judging by his hilarious reaction, he seems to have already put the loss behind him and it looks like the Astros are ready to fight in Philadelphia for the world title. In theory, the world championship could end in the Velez region, which would be amusing given Verlander’s gesture.

Astros Ice Justin Verlander Makes Good After The Middle Finger For Feliz Fans

Each team only needs three more wins to claim the championship, and while the likelihood of that happening in Philadelphia seems slim, it could. The Phillies have not lost a home game after this season, so the odds are definitely in their favor there.

However, the Astros are a tough team to beat, so the Phils don’t seem likely to score three wins in a row. The Phillies were excelling in their stellar attack, but the Astros had a huge spin that could prove fatal to a Philadelphia attack. For Houston to win the next three games in a row, they must have perfect shooters nearly every night, which is very unrealistic.

However, if the game ends in Philadelphia, Verlander’s welcome will remain sweet or sour forever, depending on which team claims the title.
