The Bills remain one of the top NFL teams, even after a shocking loss, but Josh Allen’s injury and the uncertainty surrounding it is a bad sign for Buffalo.
Sunday to forget about the Buffalo bills because their loss of planes could only get worse.
On Monday, some ominous social media comments from the media surrounding the team appeared to suggest that the injury to midfielder Josh Allen may be worse than it initially appeared. It turns out that this is indeed the case.
As reported by Chris Mortensen of ESPN et al., Allen is currently undergoing tests on the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his throwing elbow as well as the surrounding nerves. Mortensen added that Allen will undergo further tests, and more information about the injury is scheduled for Tuesday.
Josh Allen injury threatens to derail Bills season
Despite the Bills’ talent on both sides of the ball, injury to their star connected to their cue is the one thing this team can’t afford, especially with the increased competitiveness of AFC East like the Jets and Dolphins. Rise early in the year.
Allen is the straw that raises the drink for the buffalo crime. His ability to pass and, most importantly, the danger he poses to opposing defenses with his legs make him an unrepeatable weapon.
Case Keenum is a good backup for Buffalo, but if there’s serious damage to the UCL and the elbow that keeps Allen aside for an extended period of time, the Bills won’t be able to survive entirely without it.
For a team with legitimate Super Bowl aspirations who looked at the outside of losing to New York this week, this is potentially devastating news. And now Bills Mafia will be eagerly waiting and hoping to get the best of the Allen facility.
