Alabama fans lose their minds as Crimson Tide faces yet another upset

Alabama fans just don’t know how to deal with not being a completely dominant team. Early struggles against the Miss Ole led to message boards a long time coming.

For more than a decade, Alabama football fans have enjoyed an unprecedented level of success. Not only do they rarely lose. But they rarely struggled.

That changed in 2022. The Crimson Tide has already lost two games and been eliminated from the SEC West race. They entered Saturday’s match against the 11th seed Ole Miss in hopes of proving they still had some life.

So being left behind 10-0 to the Rebels in the first quarter was not a welcome development.

Alabama message boards not happy with efforts against Ole Miss

Immediately, Alabama fans were demanding that Bryce Young be seated, abandon the season and question coach Nick Saban.

Others prayed for offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien to leave the field at the end of the first half.

Ole Miss led 10-0 on a field goal and Quinshon Judkins touchdown. Young and Ted responded again with a 19-yard drop to Jermaine Burton. However, Judkins regained the advantage for the Rebels with another one-yard touchdown run.

With eight seconds left in the first half, Young found a tight finish for Cameron Lato from eight yards to equalize Alabama again by three points, 17-14. They didn’t play well in the first half, so going into the second half with just three was a thing.

The game isn’t over yet, so Alabama fans may want to give the team a chance to turn things around before the game is completely over. However, it is perfectly fair to ask if Crimson Tide has what it takes to avoid more losses this season when they are not up to their talent level.
