Notre Dame Somehow Handed Out Best Film of the Year (Video)

The Notre Dame offense was abused throughout the season, but that didn’t stop receiver Braden Lindsey from setting off on Hunt of the Year.

Throughout the rollercoaster season of Notre Dame Fighting Irish in Marcus Freeman’s first season as head coach at South Bend, perhaps nothing has come under more fire than the team’s attack.

Regardless of who started the quarterback, Irish Fighting Crime has often left a lot to be desired. This was especially true regarding the scroll attack, which would be described favorably as inconsistent.

So the numbers are just that this Notre Dame air attack will give us perhaps the best we’ll see all year in college football on Saturday in the team’s game against the Navy.

Notre Dame WR Braden Lindsey kicks off this year’s Crazy Hunt

In the first inning, Drew Payne just fired a throw into the front corner from the end zone in the direction of big wide receiver Braden Linsey, who was facing very tight coverage. This did not bother Lindsay. Instead, he turned around and extended his hand behind the defender’s back to hold a really crazy landing grip.

It might be a lower version, but it’s hard not to think of Julio Jones’ silly touchdown capture yesterday as he grabbed the ball behind the defender’s back and then rolled across the end zone somehow while maintaining possession.

However, seeing that kind of play from Lenzy and an attack that has been painfully lackluster throughout most of the season is an example that college football is the best. It doesn’t make sense for a unit of this mid-caliber at best to do this kind of gameplay.

But Lenzy made it happen, and we are all fortunate to witness such a great play.
