See how your fellow fighters reacted to the war fought by Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler at UFC 281
The lightweight fight between Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler was expected to be the fight of the night at UFC 281. Inside Madison Square Garden, the fight definitely proved to be an exciting one, ending with Poirier’s victory.
Poirier found himself in trouble early in the fight, thanks to Chandler’s aggression and revolts that stunned him, as well as some takedowns from Chandler. However, Poirer responded by shooting and causing some swelling around one of Chandler’s feet. Chandler also teased his own euphoria towards the end, working on Chandler who was exhausted and had a broken nose.
Chandler regained control in the second round, using his wrestling and threatening, and remained in control of nearly all of the round.
In the third round, Chandler attempted to bring the fight back to the ground with a heavy blow. But Poirier hit back and stood on Chandler’s back, eventually finding a naked chokehold in the back and scoring a surrender.
