MLB rumors

Early MLB rumors suggested that these three Hunters would likely wear different uniforms on Opening Day 2023.

Many hunters can switch uniforms this off season. It’s mid-November, and the MLB rumors have already begun to name which points of support could go elsewhere.

Spot catcher is interesting throughout the league. Many teams “attack” in the center in favor of someone who can call a good game. It’s rare to find anyone close to Mike Piazza sitting behind the plate anymore.

The best masks these days are the ones that can do a little bit of everything. People who can hit, play with strength of defense, and be more than hitter number nine are the most preferred. This season, many of them may be wearing a new logo by Opening Day 2023.

1. MLB Rumors: Free agent Willson Contreras makes more sense away from the Cubs

The Chicago Cubs never managed to find a new home for Willson Contreras during the middle of the 2022 season. One of the most discussed commercial candidates over the summer, he stayed put. A small market for the All-Star catch has led the team to stick with him which may end up being a wiser decision depending on which draft pick they get when he leaves.

Returning to Chicago makes sense for Contreras. The Cubs are expected to have a busy holiday. At least one of the major free MLB agent stopping points must end up calling the home of Wrigley Field for 2023 and beyond.

Already, teams like the Houston Astros have been linked with unfamiliar rumors that they have an interest in Contreras.

The Astros are hardly the only team that should care about Contreras. In their quest to add Aaron Judge, the San Francisco Giants may view him as the necessary offensive upgrade they need. St. Louis Cardinals and Tampa Bay Rays are the other two in need of more stability behind the board.

Contreras free agent makes it a safe bet for changing teams. Needed to trade in two other good hunters potentially on the move.
