Insider is suggesting the Dodgers take Aaron Judge’s run by taking $100 million off the books

The Los Angeles Dodgers have now taken $100 million off their books, making it look like a move for Aaron Judge is in the works.

Friday’s news that the Dodgers were going for no-nonsense Cody Bellinger wasn’t earth shattering, but it did contribute to a pretty huge narrative for Los Angeles this season.

The boys in blue have now had $100 million cut from their wages by an undiminished Bellinger, Justin Turner’s 2023 option turned down, and Tyler Anderson lost to the Angels, after Trea Turner rejected his qualifying offer and let Craig Kimbrell, Andrew Heene, and David Price enter free agency.

Now, MLB.com’s John Heyman says the slam dunk around baseball has the Dodgers making a big move for Aaron Judge.

Dodgers rumored running back Aaron Judge with $100 million on the books

“The word is out now that the Dodgers are going to make a run on Aaron Judge. Makes sense with $100 million now off the books with Bellinger, Kimbrel, Anderson, Heaney, Price and 2 Turners off the roster. Needs include SS, 3B, SPs, RP and now OF” Heyman tweeted After Bellinger’s non-bid ad hit the news.

John Morosi of the MLB Network Many have suggested the same: “If the #Dodgers aren’t as tender to Cody Bellinger as many expect, they’ll become a more reasonable place to land Aaron Judge. Thanks to several free agents, they already have tens of millions on the books; without Bellinger, they’ll need to add an outfielder.” “.

Bringing in the judge might mean playing him in center field along with Mookie Betts at right. The reigning AL MVP could take over Betts’ role at right flank while converting Betts to play second base. Bates has already indicated that he would be open to the move.

Of course, the biggest hurdle to bringing the judge to Los Angeles isn’t knowing how it affects Bates’ positioning. He beats out the Yankees, Giants, and other teams vying for his signature.

The Dodgers will have the money. We’ll see if that suffices.
