Free pitcher Kodai Senga has been targeted by a few different teams, but his Instagram hints that he may be in contact with the Dodgers.
It was Kodai Senga Floating around Southern California He also reportedly met with the San Diego Padres and also got interest from the Los Angeles Dodgers. He’s caught interest from a few other teams as well, but he recently posted a photo of the Dodgers mug to his Instagram story, hinting that they might be on his radar as well.
Of course, there is no guarantee of where it will end up. However, this indicates that going to the Dodgers is a possibility that Senga is considering among quite a few offers he can expect to receive.
It would definitely be a win for LA if Senga ends up there. The team is already full of talent, and will only make it better.
Kodai Senga can help the Dodgers’ troubles
The Dodgers have had issues with their rotation and bullpen, even though they undoubtedly have talent. They lack depth and rely on aces like Julio Urias and Clayton Kershaw as stars. Their column was a bit more in depth, but it definitely could be improved from someone like Senga.
Statistically, Los Angeles has the best out of their pitchers in the league during the regular season. There is no denying that they are a talented team. However, they can get a few reliable weapons for more success.
Senga is experienced as a starter and reliever, but seems to have more experience as a reliever. Assuming that’s where the Dodgers would put him if he got on the team, he’d definitely be a reliable player to finish games with.
Last season, he played for two Japanese leagues and produced an ERA of 1.89 and a WHIP of 1.04. He’s been playing very well along with some other reliable players, and LA is sure to get better with him on the team.
It’s unclear where Senga might end up for the 2023 season, but Los Angeles certainly appears to be in mind.
