Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has welcomed a newborn who will go by the nickname “Bronze” thanks to his brother, Jackson.
Patrick Mahomes became a father for the second time on Monday with the birth of his son, Patrick Lavon Mahomes III.
While named after his father and grandfather, the child also has a unique nickname: Bronze.

Bronze is a smart choice for the “third” motif especially since there was already a brother named Sterling, a term associated with silver.

“It’s doing really well,” Mahomes told reporters. “He can have his own thing now that he’s not Patrick, he’s Bronze, even though he’s Patrick. And Sterling and Bronze can move forward with that association.”
