Chris Paul was trending on Twitter Thursday night after Kanye West dropped the accusation that the Suns star was having an affair with Kim Kardashian.

You never know what’s going to happen on Twitter at any given time. Sometimes the memes are about the latest NFL game in circulation. Sometimes it’s Kanye West throwing a grenade into the personal life of an NBA star.

In case you didn’t get it, the latter was the big news on social media Thursday night.

Amidst a tweet storm containing varying levels of coherence, West made an accusation against Chris Paul.

“Let’s break one last window before we get out of here,” West wrote on Twitter. “I caught this guy [Chris Paul] with Kim. Good afternoon.”

Well, that was definitely unexpected. It wasn’t surprising for NBA Twitter to see Chris Paul trending on a night he wasn’t playing for the Suns.
