The UFC has faced a number of investigations from government bodies since the fight between Minner and Shayilan Nuerdanbieke, which ended in 67 seconds as a TKO win for Nuerdanbieke. She gave Miner’s leg during the fight, which led to the end result earning Nordanbeck to accompany him for the win.

In the hours leading up to the fight, Nuerdanbieke jumped from -220 favorite to -420, prompting all kinds of questioning how quickly money could be put into Nuerdanbieke, with some wondering if a pre-existing knee injury with Minner had leaked. Miner faces potential penalties for failing to disclose the injury to the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).

In recent days, Canadian provincial gambling commissions have banned betting on UFC fights, specifically in Ontario and Alberta. And with the fact that Ontario, According to TSN’s Aaron Bronster on Twitterthe only Canadian province currently playing third-party players like DraftKings and FanDuel, it may only be a matter of time before more provinces act.

The UFC updated its gambling policy in October to indicate that UFC fighters are not allowed to bet on fights.
