These three NFL coaches didn’t do themselves any favors after their team’s Week 15 performance.

Week 15 of the NFL season is almost in the books, and there have been plenty of worthy storylines this week. From the Minnesota Vikings overcoming a 33-0 deficit to defeat the Indianapolis Colts to the Buffalo Bills defeating the Miami Dolphins in a snowball game.

The majority of Week 15 was held on a Sunday, as the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams left to play. There have been some great coaching efforts, like Dan Campbell’s Detroit Lions beat the New York Jets in a late touchdown, and Doug Pederson’s Jacksonville Jaguars beat the Dallas Cowboys in overtime.

When it comes to coaches who haven’t made their end of the bargain, these three may need to update their resumes.

Coaches who need to update their resume after Week 15: Jeff Saturday, Indianapolis Colts

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay tried something new in terms of replacing Frank Reich for the rest of the season’s end. Instead of promoting an assistant from the inside, he decided to hire former ESPN center fielder and analyst Jeff Saturday to be the interim coach.

Entering Week 15, Saturday had a 1-3 record on the season, with his only win coming in his debut against the Las Vegas Raiders. His fourth loss of the season was pretty brutal, and could make the Colts brass reconsider how they approach their coaching search this season.

The Colts went 33-0, a team no team in NFL history has been able to beat. That was until the Vikings played the Colts on Saturday. Minnesota outscored Indianapolis 36-3 to force overtime, and with only seconds left in overtime, Greg Joseph kicked the game-winning 40-yard field goal.

Besides the team’s 39 points surrender since halftime, the Colts have been penalized 11 times for 103 yards.

Simply put, Irsay needs to excel in his training search. Get the best possible candidate for a head coach, whether that be a coordinator or someone with coaching experience.
