Skip the Jumpman Invitational

The North Carolina Tar Heels are off to a slow start in the 2022-23 season, but they do have a marquee game against the Michigan Wolverines in the Jumpman Invitational.

The Tar Heels have won three straight games after losing four straight earlier in the season, and they are favored in what KenPom considers a “near-home” game tonight.

Michigan lost to Arizona State, Virginia, and Kentucky, all ranked teams this season. The Wolverines come as Team KenPom #46.

Hubert Davis’s team didn’t quite get the feat after they reached the final of the NCAA Tournament last season, but are the Heels really starting to hit their stride?

Michigan vs. North Carolina prospect and pick

I have no interest in supporting a team with how volatile the Tar Heels have been this season, but I think these offenses make a great bet.

UNC ranks ninth in the nation in modified offensive efficiency, and the Wolverines aren’t far behind, ranking 24th.

All three Tar Heels haven’t been shooting well this season, but these teams are great at taking care of the ball, which means there will be plenty of shots and even more possessions to score points.

Michigan is No. 1 in the country in turnover percentage while UNC is at No. 29.

UNC has surpassed that total in five games this season, and the team has put up three games with 100+ points scored.

I could see this display turning into an attacking display with all the talent on both sides, especially since both teams were so effective on that end of the floor.
