Hopefully, if you’re reading this, you’re not desperate for a last-minute gift. If you are, what have you been doing in the last 365 days? reading? Do you watch Netflix? Seriously, unless you’re Tom Hanks on Castaway, you have no excuse to keep shopping for Christmas gifts this Christmas. What if you weren’t that person?
Maybe the turkey went belly up this morning and you need a replacement? Walmart may be able to offer last-second relief.
They certainly can, but the only problem is that it won’t be on Christmas Day, since actually all Walmart stores are closed on December 25th.
So whether you’re the person shopping for gifts for the day or someone who needs an emergency fix for their dinner, you’re both out of luck. This does not mean that you are completely out of luck.

So I’m not here just to be the bearer of bad news, even though that’s one of the perks of the party. No, I also provide solutions, because no matter what link you find yourself on, I think I can at least point you to some options.
If you are desperate for dinner for any reason, there are restaurants that open around Christmas, and many will offer the option of eating outside. Places like Denny’s are a Christmas Day dining staple, and others like Applebees may also be open, depending on location (call ahead). McDonald’s will also see several of its restaurants open (call ahead).
If the problem isn’t the whole meal but only a few sides, you can go to the drug store to see if they have any beans or sweets. CVS and Walgreens are both expected to be open on Christmas Day, so you should have some options if you go in.
