The Jets are said to be done with Zach Wilson, which means they will be looking for a replacement. Their options range from uninspiring to fantastic.
Zack Wilson ended up as a jet-setter.
at least, This is what Jay Glazer reports After the quarterback found himself on the bench in favor of fourth-placed Chris Streffler. The team seems to have lost all faith in Wilson, who has also lost faith in himself.
The expectation now is that New York will pass on to someone else. It is not immediately clear who it will be.
Sam Darnold will be a free agent this season, but this scenario is more than believable. Alternatively, New York could consider these options.
Jets Zach Wilson replacement options ranking
No. 10 – Stick with Mike White
Mike White took over for Wilson earlier this season and showed some small signs of promise before his rib injury. However, with a 1-2 record and a 3-2 TD-INT percentage, White doesn’t exactly scream “the future of the franchise.”
If the plan were to go into the draft, going forward with White on the cheap would make more sense.
No. 9 – Jacoby Brissett signed
Jacoby Brissett got some shop window time while filling in for Cleveland suspended Deshawn Watson. He did well with 2,608 yards and 12 touchdowns, with six interceptions in 11 starts. But is it good enough for planes?
No. 8 – signed by Baker Mayfield
The Browns and Panthers gave up at Mayfield but his recent starts for the Rams suggest he still has something to offer the team. It’s an obvious reclamation project.
