Boston Bruins fans couldn’t hold back their emotions – or their anger – when Red Sox owner John Henry arrived at Fenway Park for the Winter Classic.
A new year has begun but the same old animosity Red Sox fans have towards the organization remains.
To say it was a tough one for the Red Sox is to grossly underestimate how bad things were. Boston has let Xander Bogaerts go in free agency, let Nathan Eovaldi go to the Rangers, hasn’t gotten into any of the big-name free agents on the market, and appears to be on a collision course with Rafael Devers that could create an irreparable rift.
Needless to say, Red Sox fans are not impressed.
Despite being one of the most globally recognizable sports brands and a big football club in the market, the Red Sox seem pretty audacious to pinch every penny and save every dollar. As for what is not obvious, but what is very clear is that Red Sox fans have already seen enough and are not keeping silent about how badly they think the team is being run.
Red Sox owner John Henry arrived in Fenway for the Winter Classic and Boston fans were waiting for him, ready to let him know what they really think about how to run the Red Sox.
