This year’s Rose Bowl was about nothing and everything at once. As one of those melodramatic idiots who is neurotic to the bone, there’s no doubt about it, sometimes I give myself the creeps when I think my mind is playing tricks on me. As the score continues to increase, I think I’m stumbling. I’m not just paranoid, just me anesthetic Blown away by how awesome this Green Day cover was!

When Billie Joe, Mike, and Tre wrote this song among the green days of Northern California in the mid-’90s, they had no idea they’d create a diamond-encrusted sonic masterpiece. Yes, the album title was mostly nonsense, but the Bay Area trio changed the game almost as much as three guys from Aberdeen. Come as you are to the Rose Bowl, but welcome to college football heaven!
As you silently scream about the Cotton Bowl score, you know where we’ll be when it comes. I may have a blast about the Dawgs being on top, but you can call me glee if they lose to TCU next Monday night. As with anything, it serves you to take a long-term approach. It’s never easy to come clean, but in the end, you’ll never be completely alone.
