Was Phil Baroni Arrested For Murder In Mexico?
On Tuesday afternoon, rumors began circulating on MMA Twitter that former UFC fighter Phil Baroni has been arrested for killing his girlfriend. The reports out of Mexico were sketchy and in Spanish but seemed to tell the story of the downed fighter.

The story, written in Spanish and then translated into English by Google, says officers arrived at a Mexican hotel where they found a woman “lying naked on a bed covered with a sheet showing multiple signs of beatings and bruises on her face and parts of her body, and no vital signs.”
The man, identified in the report as an American man from New York City, says he and the woman had been arguing about her sleeping with someone else and that he “began to get jealous and opened the bathroom as he told her to go take a shower.” He reportedly refused. The man admits that he “took her by the arms and threw her into the bathroom where she hit her head.”
He says he helped her out of the bathroom and undressed her, then covered her with a sheet and left the room for “cigarettes and beer” and she was dead when he returned to the room.
A picture of a man with a blurred image of a police officer also went viral.
As of press time, there has been no official confirmation that the man involved is a Baronet. according to his speech Instagram, Dated last week, apparently he’s in mexico.
