RJ Melendez of Illinois was called in for a technical foul after he dunked Biden against Houston and the college basketball media and fans like them were in disbelief.
The Houston Cougars beat Illinois in the NCAA Championships Sunday to move to the Sweet 16, but people will be attacking the referees for a while. In the second half, with things close, RJ Melendez got the ball into an open space and flew down the field for a nice dunk.
The story does not end there. Melendez held onto the edge for some extra time, but it was the momentum of his body that made that happen. However, the referees decided to call a technician to him. That came with it being a four-point game, which was tough for Illini.

How in the world was that called technical. Since the game was also very close, there is no reason for that to happen. Illinois fans were totally furious, and they were met with a lot of outrage.

In the end, Houston finished off the competition strong and scored a 68-53 win. The Cougars went in a 22-11 race after Technical Melendez punched their tickets to the next round. If you just ask anyone who was watching the match, the technique at the slam was a complete disgrace.
