Saturday, April 21, gives us a big showdown in the strawweight division when No. 10 seed Amanda Lemos will undergo her biggest test yet as she competes against former No. 1 strawweight champion Jessica Andrade.
This fight gives us a classic match between the veteran and the potential. Andrade has had 20 fights in the UFC compared to Lemos’s six.

This match gives us two talented strikers vying to be next for the title. Each of them had strength and speed in his hand. You really start to respect Lemos’ strength when you realize they’ve had four KOs in their last three fights. Andrade’s strength seems to be more respected as she racked up the biggest knockout wins in strawweight history in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
These are two dazzling fighters a pleasure to watch. Andrade has the most performance bonuses in strawweight history while Lemos has the shortest average fight time in strawweight history. These are just two girls ready to stand up to each other and exchange strikes.
Two ladies with a lot of similarities. However, there is one key element that one fighter compared to the other. That only thing is the experience. Andrade watched it all while there were still things Lemos had yet to discover. You can compare their past opponents and easily see how tough the opponents of Andrade are compared to those of Lemos. Lemos is a talented fighter who easily fights her most talented opponent. Andrade Limos will be dragged into deep waters you’ve never seen before. Because Andrade is not only more experienced, but also a better wrestler.
This fight gives us two of the best strikers in the division. Given the experience, better wrestling and no clear advantage of Lemos over Lemos, expect Andrade to win this match.
