Philadelphia Phillies’ Kyle Schwarber left his protest on the field after being thrown in the ninth inning due to his fear of Angel Hernandez.
We have to give Schwarber some credit here, as Hernandez has a reputation for reaching even the most stable of veterans. But, having made his thoughts loud and clear on the field, the Velez star chose not to take these complaints to the club’s media session.
Had he said anything except for the company streak, he was surely waiting for a fine, and more attention the team didn’t need in the NL East race early in the season.
“I’m not here to bury anyone,” said Kyle Schwarber. Matt Gelb from The Athletic. “But it wasn’t very good.”
That’s the sound Schwarber can be without getting fined, just as his protest has been measured as much as possible without crossing a line.

Schwarber is not one to act out of anger or emotion at the club. Instead of allowing himself to fall into the trap of the moment, he just mentioned that he was not satisfied with the call.
Indeed, the Velez player allowed himself the opportunity to yell and yell in front of Hernandez in the ninth inning, stomping around the house board and (responsibly) throwing his equipment in a furious motion out of harm’s way.
It was as episodic as Schwarber without Velez receiving undue attention. HernandezOn the other hand, he is still one of the biggest defenders of the electronic strike zone.
