Stevie Ray pulls off a Hurricane and hands Anthony Pettis in the PFL 5, to seal a place in the 2022 PFL Lightweight Playoffs
Stevie Ray had a lifetime performance in PFL 5, not only scoring a win over former UFC champ Anthony Pettis but also doing so by holding the rare surrender.
As a result of his finish at Pettis, Ray scored five points and jumped into the PFL Lightweight Postseason, knocking out PFL Lightweight Champion Rauch Manfiu from the playoffs.
Coincidentally, Ray will now face Bettis in the lightweight semi-finals.

Pettis attacked Ray’s body in an action-packed opening round, as he attempted to counter Ray’s aggression with punches and combinations. But Pettis was impressed by the variety of kicks thrown.
Betis’ kick-based attack showed itself again in the second round, and Ray briefly stunned with a question kick. Betis was scoring later in the round, but Ray parried by falling back on Betis to the ground and throwing some notable pounds.
Pettis managed to get to first place, but Ray did not let go of his body lock and managed to score.
