In an effort to capture a three-game losing streak, Bryan Sneaker included Ronald Acuna Jr. once again in the squad on Wednesday night, to take the lead against the Colorado Rockies.
This will be the dynamic Akuna’s first match since August 26, as the 24-year-old has been experiencing pain in his right knee.
Acuña originally planned to return to the beginning of the series between the Colorado Rockies and the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday night, but The pain kept him out of the squad.
Acuña was signed into the squad on Wednesday as the designated hitter for Atlanta, something that can be seen more in September.

Snitker must balance Acuña’s presence in the squad against facing any additional pain affecting his star player as Atlanta prepares for post-season.
It wouldn’t be perfect, but it’s good enough that he can start DHing again,” Snicker said ahead of Wednesday’s game. “We’ll take it day by day.”
Snitker said the part of Acuña’s running game is most affected by knee pain.
“Stealing the bases isn’t great, just take-offs and a lot of slowing down, and it can be on balls and closing in, things like that bother her pretty well.
“It is preferred. I have calmed down a lot since we last played with him.”
Could Acuña ease up on some of his on-court plays if Snitker were to reintroduce him as a center player? Snitker said that was not who Acuña was a player.
“It’s hard to do,” Snicker said of his three-time All-Star game with less than 100 percent on the field. “When you hit the ball, he will run across the field. He will try to catch it. But if we just try to limit the stealing rules if we can, he has been good at managing it out of the box.”
Look for Acuña to return to the line-up as Atlanta’s designated hitter, potentially seeing time on the court, knee permitting, as September rolls on.
