Patriots radio call for amazing game-winning Marcus Jones kick return

Listen to the radio call for Marcus Jones’ game-winning punt return for the New England Patriots against the New York Jets.

The New England Patriots scored their first victory of the season against the New York Jets again in Week 8, with a score of 22-16. The Jets were looking for revenge in Week 11 in Foxboro. The game had been complicated at 3-3 since the second quarter, but that all changed in the closing seconds of regulation.

With just 26 seconds left, Braden Mann kicked the ball to Patriots running back Marcus Jones. From there, Jones returned it 84 yards for a touchdown, giving New England a 10-3 lead with just five seconds left in regulation.

I heard the national appeal on CBS. Now, listen to the call from Bob Socci and Scott Zolak of 98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston. It will undoubtedly pump Patriots fans around the world.

With this comeback, the Patriots completed their offense against the Jets this season, much to the ire of their recent fan base.

Despite the windy conditions at Gillette Stadium, quarterback Mack Jones was mostly accurate with his throws. On 27 attempts, Jones completed 23 of them for a gain of 246 yards. However, he was sacked six times for a loss of 48 yards.

Meanwhile, Zach Wilson had a very poor game for the Jets, completing 9 of 22 throws for only 77 yards. The Jets had more hymns than Wilson completed, in case you wanted a little fun fact.

With the victory, New England now goes 6-4 on the season along with New York, but retains the tiebreaker advantage. They are now just one game behind the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills, who are both 7-3.

New England is looking to continue its winning streak by defeating the Minnesota Vikings on Thanksgiving.
