Michigan Radio’s call to seal the game by Donovan Edwards TD will make Ohio State fans cry

Michigan’s radio call of a Donovan Edwards game-closing touchdown against Ohio State would put smiles on the Wolverines’ faces and tears in Buckeye’s eyes.

Michigan fans will want to relive their victory over Ohio State in this year’s rivalry game over and over for the next 48 hours at least.

The Wolverines were underdogs and they didn’t play like him. They roasted the Buckeyes through the air for the benefit, then switched to the ground game to see things through late with two long floats.

The first of these was courtesy of Donovan Edwards, who kicked for a 75-yard touchdown run just seconds after the Buckeyes made it a one-possession game with a field goal.

For all intents and purposes, Edwards’ touchdown sealed the victory and Michigan radio announcers knew it.

Michigan State radio call for the trial of Donovan Edwards v. Ohio State

Edwards had a perfect response for Ohio State pulling themselves back into the game. If Michigan hadn’t come up with an answer, the Buckeyes could easily have picked up the momentum for the win. Instead, Edwards kept the momentum firmly in Michigan’s hands. It was a frustrating touchdown surrender by the Ohio State defense.

And it wasn’t the only one.

Michigan and Edwards accumulated a score longer than 85 yards to really put the game on ice. Broadcasting in Spanish to that person is a thing of beauty.

The Wolverines clinched the Big Ten East title and their opponent from the West is waiting to be decided in the Big Ten Championship game. A win would send them to the College Football Playoff for the second straight season.
