The expectation is that Tatis He will play shortstop, midfield, and a designated hitter during a rehabilitation mission.
Tates will miss the 2022 campaign after sustaining a broken left wrist. He underwent surgery to repair his navicular bone in mid-March and was given a three-month recovery schedule.
Last season, Tates suffered a partial dislocation of his left shoulder early in the year but managed to play in 150 games.
