DWCS Week 4: Esteban Ribovich is the fighter to watch.
“El Gringo” Esteban Ribovics will headline and challenge “Juggernaut” Thomas Paull for a UFC contract at Dana White Competition Series Week Four: The undefeated lightweight is one of the top prospects from Latin America and with a record 10-0 will look to keep his 100 per cent finish rate intact.
Ribofix is fighting out of Salta, Argentina, and training in the Alpha team, but according to him Instagramhe was putting the finishing touches to his camp in Deerfield Beach, Florida at Kill Cliff FC, formerly known as Sanford MMA.
Who is Esteban Rebofix?
The Argentine fighter is a 26-year-old talent known for his very aggressive signature style with a CV of five knockouts and five serve. He last fought in February where he knocked out his opponent in 27 seconds via his left arm.
A potential ending machine has finished his previous four opponents by KO/TKO and it is important to note that he can knockout or serve his target in any round. The Ribovics always strive to get someone to stand out by finishing as late as 4:40 in the third round or seven seconds into the first.
Ribovics’ ceiling of potential is high given his age, the command to always look for the finish and his overall basics in batting and grappling. The competition he’s faced throughout his career are experienced competitors with a combined record of 64 to 34.
To fulfill his dream and compete with the best in the world in the UFC, he will face his toughest test yet by facing a seasoned fighter outside of England. The contender has earned two lightweight championship belts from two different promotions, but has tasted defeat three times before, twice, once by knockout.
The phenomenon has won two championships in his career – the Samurai Fight House lightweight belt, and the Fusion FC interim lightweight belt.
Ribofix is the favorite in his opening match at (-350), while his opponent is the underdog at (+285). It’s also the biggest favorite of the night on the Five Fight Show.
The highly publicized talented lightweight will attempt to add 11th place to his record and earn the UFC contract from White, hoping to be one of the few selected fighters from Argentina.
